----------------- REMINDER: Effective April 1, our checking and savings account interest (dividends) earned are based on:
Have 10 transactions (deposits, withdrawals, checks cleared, debit card purchases, transfers) in your FSCU checking to qualify for higher interest in both checking and savings. If you do that, for each of the following you also earn 0.25% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) additional dividends on your FSCU savings:
1) Sign up for e-statements.
2) Have direct deposit or retirement to checking.
3) Have $500 or more in combined purchases in the month using your FSCU debit and/or credit card.
4) Have a Loan with FSCU for more than $1,000 balance (excludes most mortgages and all share, or CD, secured loans but includes credit card balances at end of month).
Our Rewards Visa Credit Cards can pay an average of between 1% and 2% back to you for purchases you make everyday. These points can be used for free or discounted travel, free merchandise, gift cards, or even cash back. One member recently cashed in points for $400 in cash back, another for $200 in gas gift cards. Call 1-888-619-1711 (option 2) and apply today.
Did You Know...?
When businesses like Home Depot, Target, TJ Maxx, and others have data breaches and the customer debit or credit card information is accessed by hackers, it can sometimes affect some of our members who are customers. These data breaches access information on the retailer’s systems; not on FSCU’s systems.
We want to assure you that FSCU has very sophisticated fraud protection safeguards that monitor any suspicious activity on all our members' FSCU debit or credit cards. We will contact you if such activity is discovered. Be aware of scams that ask you for your card information on your phone or email however. We will NOT ask you for card or account information if we contact you.
We also have very strict internal safeguards to protect our internal member data. However, you can never be too safe, so we urge our members to always be vigilant and check your debit and credit card statements each month to be sure no unusual charges occur.
FSCU has been and remains a safe and secure place for all your financial transactions. ------------------------------- Among the hundreds of member calls each day, our Member Care Center is frequently asked:
1) Routing number - , which is 261272046. Use it to set up direct deposit or ordering new checks. The number is also at the bottom of your checks next to your account number.
2) The phone number to activate debit/credit card, to set/change your PIN, or dispute a credit card charge - 855-847-2023.
3) To report suspected fraud on your credit card (and to recognize an incoming call from our Fraud prevention team) - 844-847-2511.
--------------------------- SCAM ALERT: Consumers, (including FSCU members), have received calls or texts indicating their debit cards have been de-activated and to call a number given or "press a button on their phone" which leads to requests for more information. This is a classic scam and not a call from Five Star.
NEVER give out your debit or credit card information to anyone on the phone or online unless you initiate the call and are sure you know who you are dealing with.
