Five Star Foundation

At Five Star Credit Union, we want to have an impact beyond our core function of providing financial services. We established a private charitable foundation in 2020 to provide funding for educational and training programs for young people and for worthy organizations that move our communities forward.

Endowing students future with scholarship grants 

The Five Star Credit Union Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established and funded by Five Star Credit Union.

 

In 2026, the foundation board committed $1.1 million for endowments and new Five Star Credit Union scholarships. The foundation will add to existing endowments at Wallace Community College in Dothan, Wallace Community College in Eufaula, Southern Regional Technical College in Bainbridge, and College of Coastal Georgia. New $10,000 scholarship grants have been awarded to Middle GA State in Macon, Albany Technical College, and Albany State College. 

 

At the conclusion of the commitment, the total endowments will be $400,000 to Wallace in Dothan, Wallace in Eufaula, and College of Coastal GA, $250,000 to Southern Regional Technical, and $50,000 at Enterprise State. Since 2022, the foundation has given $1.5 million in scholarship grants impacting more than 50 students. Each Five Star Credit Union scholarship is distributed through the participating colleges. Applications are taken through each college's scholarship application process.
